"MEDICAL MASSAGE" NOW SCHEDULING |
Dr.
Reiss has introduced an exciting new service into her practice and into Huntington...
Medical Massage by Vicki Eklund, L.M.T.
As an extension of the doctor's Osteopathic practice, the focus of this service is
Myofascial Release; the loosening and freeing of
restricted tissues that
otherwise cause pain and impede movement. This medical service
is offered in the context of a massage as relaxing and
uplifting as any you have
ever enjoyed. In addition, therapeutic essential oils are incorporated to dramatically enhance the healing
effects.
To be treated by Vicki, you first need to be a patient of Dr. Reiss. This is done by scheduling an initial 90 minute visit with the doctor (with follow-up visits with Vicki on subsequent days).
As these treatments are conducted under the auspices of Dr. Reiss' medical practice, we can also submit them through insurance. We are an out-of-network office with commercial insurance and work successfully with such insurance when patients have out-of-network benefits. Please contact our office for details. Dr. Reiss is also Medicare provider.

Victoria Calpena-Eklund, L.M.T.
Mrs. Eklund has been a New York State licensed Massage Therapist for over 15 years. Her hands are highly sensitized. People often comment on the heat they feel emanating from them during a treatment. Vicki draws from an extensive repertoire of trainings and techniques varying from very deep to very gentle pressures. She was also selected as a contributing therapist for the book "Bodywork" by Thomas Claire, where you can read about a Myofascial Release session she performed on the author. With the assistance of your body's deeper and natural rhythms of health, Vicki incorporates a non-force, deep tissue approach to achieve long-term relief from pain and dysfunction. Because of the important role that massage therapy has held in her own healing, she is driven to offer the same benefits to others.
Vicki's other interests include hiking, gardening, dance as well as studying the cello and piano.
